Comments on: Does “Nofollow” do any good for a blog?

I think I have decided not to use IFollow on this blog. Google apparently does have a penalty, which is not such a big deal for a little blog like mine. But the deciding factor was a BlackHat SEO tactic I read about. An IFOLLOW blog becomes a target for people trying to build backlinks to their own site. They purposely fine IFOLLOW sites to comment on for the backlink, not for any meaningful conversation.
Oh, their comment may seem relavent, but that’s not why they came to the site to begin with.

yes, i recently joined the “U comment i follow” movement, though my reason is not about the benefit of of “links”. It is just a courtesy to fellow bloggers or some would say as “love link.” Well, the “no follow” has done nothing to my site so i guess, why dont i joint the “i follow” movement. I come across a number of good sites with “i follow” so i think it wouldnt hurt you if you want to try.

I agree with IAAdmin - “I wish more bloggers were like this, but hey, that’s just me……………..” but hey, that is just me too..

Recently I joined a campaign to comment on all the blogs I visit. It’s not about UCommentIFollow, but more like a common courtesy to fellow bloggers. I’ve done pretty well with it, but once in a while, I find a blog in which I have nothing to add to the conversation.

I wish more bloggers were like this, but hey, that’s just me……………..

I think Google penalizes you for dofollow. Some link scam thing.
